Jessie Levine, RMHC-I
Jessie Levine is a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern. She works to create a welcoming and non-judgmental environment for her clients. Jessie is an attentive listener who understands and validates her clients’ feelings. Born and raised in South Florida, she has been exposed to a very diverse population, therefore understands the needs of multicultural individuals seeking therapy. With Jessie’s psychodynamic style, she is a firm believer in achieving healing through connecting the unconscious to the conscious as well as understanding issues rooted in childhood. She also believes in the mental and physical wellness connection. In addition to her psychodynamic style, she utilizes an integrative model in her theoretical approach such as client-centered, cognitive-behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and postmodern solution-focused modalities.
Jessie completed both her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Master’s degree in Counseling at Nova Southeastern University where she was a Dean’s List and Outstanding Student recipient as well as an honor student throughout her undergraduate and graduate tenure. She is also a member of Psi Chi and Phi Kappa Phi honor societies.
As a graduate student, Jessie gained experience leading individual and group sessions treating clients in recovery with the majority of these clients dual-diagnosed. She worked with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, OCD, bipolar disorder, eating disorders, personality disorders, grief, and trauma.
